Awang Had Salleh Graduate School of Arts and Sciences

Awang Had Salleh Graduate School of Arts and Sciences was formed on 23 September 2010. The main role of this graduate school is to nurture its students into emphatic and authentic leaders. In order to achieve this, it inculcates good values and practices that allow its students to lead others. It also creates opportunities for its students to have critical engagement and soft-skills development to become more effective communicators.  Through World Class academic programmes, rigorous research, high-impact publications, innovative consultations and solutions to multifaceted issues, this graduate school places emphasis on creating holistic and balanced individuals who are analytical and creative.

The postgraduate programmes offered by the Awang Had Salleh Graduate School of Arts and Sciences are organized by five schools and two centres, namely the School of Computing, the School of Education and Modern Languages, the School of Multimedia Technologies and Communication, the School of Quantitative Sciences and the School of Social Development, Centre of General studies and the Language Centre. Each school or centre provides specialized programmes to cater for the needs of its students.

Currently this graduate school has a population of 2005 students comprising of local Malaysian students as well as foreign students from Indonesia, Jordan, Lybia. Nigeria, Palestin, Saudi Arabia and Yeman. With students coming from different parts of the world, it hopes to instill awareness among all its students in helping to create better understanding among the people of the world.
